Increased our Fire/EMS department staff for the first time in 30 years 100% subsidized by the Federal SAFER Grant ($3M for 3 years). Lowering response times, increasing community education, making more ambulances available for service, and advanced Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) so our Suburban Critical Incident Team (SCIT) and residents are safer.
Opposed the wasteful and unnecessary $200K grant, North Central Group, a private entity that received millions in COVID relief funds.
Worked with staff to request and create a financial policy governing the usage and management of the city’s Utility reserve funds
Utilized leftover Federal ARPA grant money to fund an accessible and inclusive park (Wirth Park), obtain new defibrillators (AED), pickleball courts, and road micro-resurfacing to extend the lifespan of the roads
Member of the Wirth Park Playground sub-committee that raised over $300,000 of private donations for the creation of Wirth Park
Switched from outdated and costly Sodium Lights to LEDs saving the city money in the process while lowering electrical use
Amended the 2021 budget to spend $40K to convert leased streetlights from WE Energies to LEDs to lower the city’s electrical usage and costs

Created and championed the city’s first accessible and inclusive playground at Wirth Park so children of all abilities can play together
Created Waukesha County’s first publicly available Universal Changing Station in the Library so caretakers can change their adult loved ones diapers safely and with dignity
Modified the city’s parking ordinance mandating that private commercial parking lots be maintained and navigable
Fought for Absentee Drop Boxes to be restored to accommodate voters with disabilities, challenging work schedules, and young parents.

Co-created and overhauled the city’s ethic’s code so elected officials, city leaders, and employees are held to the highest ethical standards for their conduct
Changed the city’s short-term objectives to include the creation of social media accounts to improve communication to residents. Led to multiple departments creating social media pages and hiring of a part-time communication role.
Created an official Facebook account and have continually posted city updates, news, and major decisions on a weekly basis to keep residents informed
Changed the Public Comment procedure so any Alderman can call for a vote to extend the comment period so all residents can have a chance to address the Common Council publicly.
Created the publiccomment@ci.brookfield.wi.us and had messages automatically forwarded to all elected officials so public comments could be easily submitted and read digitally
Called for ‘Fair Maps’ and ‘non-partisan’ redistricting reform so no party is able to gerrymander advantage with maps

Co-created and an introduced an ordinance to restrict Hemp-derived THC cannabinoid products from being sold to individuals under the age of 21 (in-progress)
Amended the Chronic Nuisance Ordinance to create renter’s rights an and appeals process to protect renters from questionable evictions
Opposed redistricting process and outcome for City of Brookfield maps that were created to accommodate home locations of currently serving Alderman
